This half term we will be exploring the question:

Geography

In Geography we have been learning about where we live. We know we live on a planet called Earth, in a country called England (did you know that the capital city of England is called London?) and in a town called Hyde. We went on a walk to visit some local places, including the town hall. We also went to the local park and picked up litter as part of our RE learning, all about looking after God's beautiful world.

Maths

In maths we started learning one more and one less, seeing if we could find missing numbers on a number line. We've also been learning the 'part whole' model by taking a number and breaking it into two parts, we found that the 'part whole' model links well with our number bonds, which we have also been practising. We've been making number sentences with the 'part whole' model too, for example, "four is a part, two is a part and six is the whole".
