English

In English, we read a book called Where the Wild Things Are?  We loved reading this and designing our own Wild Things.  The children wrote questions to ask the Wild Things and wrote descriptions of them too.

RE

In RE, we have been learning about Baptism and being welcomed into God’s church.  We thought about how we feel when we are welcomed into groups and places and then learned about what happened when Jesus was baptised.  We discussed what the light and the dove represented too.

PE

In PE, we have been doing gymnastics.  We have had great fun investigating the large apparatus and surprising ourselves with how confident we can be: especially when we are climbing to the top of the large climbing frame.  We focused on travelling over the equipment, rolling, jumping and landing safely and with control.

History

In History, we have been learning about how childhood changes over time.  We looked at family life, schools, clothes, toys and homes.  We really enjoyed this learning and this was made even better by going to Portland Basin and experiencing this first hand.
