ENGLISH

We have had a great start to the half term and have written our own stories based on the character of Jub from 'The Lost Happy Endings'. Jub wrote her own ending on the night's sky in a golden pen and that's exactly what we have done (more or less). We wrote our own endings based on what we thought would happen to the witch from the story. Then we copied them up in our best writing on black or violet paper as if it was the night sky and used a gold pen, just like Jub. We are very proud of our finished stories. They look amazing!

ART- POP ART

We are creating a double research page based on the work by David Hockney and Andy Warhol, but focusing on their landscapes and imparticular…Andy Warhol’s, “Mount Vesuvius!” We have imitated their colour scheme so far and look forward to developing our skills further.

PE- Hockey

We are thoroughly enjoying learning the skills to play hockey. We have been learning how to control the ball, hold the hockey stick correctly, pass and stop the ball, dribble the ball around a cone and how to shoot inbetween cones. We were able to put these skiils to practice by playing small games.

ANTI- BULLYING WEEK

During Anti-Bullying Week we looked at the word RESPECT and thought about how we canshow respect to others not just during this week but always. Ethos Group lead worship and showed us ways we can do this.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

We have been baking cookies to sell at the Christmas fair with a hot chocolate. We all enjoyed taking part in this and no doubt we will enjoy eating them too! 

We had some great helpers who were fantastic at selling the hot chocolate and cookies. Thank you very much.

CHRISTMAS PLAY AND PARTIES

We had great fun practising for our Christmas play in the church. We sang our hearts out and performed wonderfully on the stage for 'Straw and Order'. Well done everyone!!
